LPFI
LPFI Limited (LPFI) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Lothian Pension Fund and was established to support collaboration with other pension funds.
LPFI has three ‘core strategies’ for delivering client services, namely:
- A strategic investment advisory platform for wider collaboration and greater future alignment of investment portfolios of likeminded LGPS funds (Strategic Advisory Platform)
- A public markets portfolio management platform providing certain LGPS funds with access to LPF’s internally managed equity and bond strategies (Public Markets Platform)
- A ‘Club Deal’ platform for collaboration on private market investments (including in the infrastructure, private debt and indirect property sectors) with LGPS funds and other institutional investors (Private Markets Platform).
LPFI Limited is a limited company with registered number SC497542 having its registered office at 4th Floor Saltire Court, 20 Castle Terrace, Edinburgh, EH1 2EN. It is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (Reference Number 741954).

- LPFI’s adherence to the Stewardship Code - LPFI’s approach to stewardship is informed by the approach of its parent organisation, Lothian Pension Fund (an institutional investor and asset owner). As a responsible investor, Lothian Pension Fund has a long-established commitment to stewardship. On 24 June 2020, Lothian Pension Fund adopted a  Statement of Responsible Investment Principles, which is reviewed and updated regularly, most recently in April 2025. Lothian Pension Fund has committed to adhering to the requirements of the UK Stewardship Code including annual reporting on its stewardship activities. As an investment manager, LPFI adopts Lothian Pension Fund’s stewardship approach and supports its clients, as asset owners, with their approach to voting and engagement.
