As an investor supporter of the Global Investor Commission on Mining 2030, Lothian Pension Fund welcomes the publication of the Commission’s ‘Landscape Report: The Role of Investors in Realising an Environmentally and Socially Responsible Mining Industry’.
Gillian de Candole, Head of Responsible Investment, LPF said: “The report identifies the importance of mining to the global economy, particularly as an enabler of the energy transition to net zero. It highlights that investors have a crucial role to play in engaging with the mining industry to tackle the systemic environmental, social and governance issues associated with mining.”
